The Silk Road
Ivory and skins was traded from Africa, while furs and skins came from Russia and the far north. I met a Swedish woman in 2005, who told me that the Vikings traded down the rivers of the north, they ended up in the Black and Caspian Seas. They so loved the trade jewelry of the Bedouin that they adopted the designs and took them home. Some of these works can be seen in Swedish Museums today.
